Best time
January, February, March, April, November and December are the best months to travel to Cuba. You avoid this the rainy and hurricane season.


Spanish is the official language in Cuba.

Travel documents
You must have a passport valid for at least six months upon arrival in Cuba.
A visa is required. You can apply online or in person at the Consulate of Cuba in Rotterdam.
If you travel with a tour operator you get through the tour operator Tourist Card (Tarjeta del Turista), it suffices rather than a visa.
Upon arrival in Cuba, you must be able to demonstrate that you have travel insurance with medical coverage.
You need to exit from Cuba to pay a departure tax of around 25 Cuban pesos per person.
